How to measure your Dog for good fit Collar:

Please be advised that:

• The collar will fit on central hole. In general the collar will have 5 holes with a distance of 1 inch (25 mm) between two holes.
• If your Dog's neck size is 20 inches (50 cm) then the collar will fit on central hole at 20 inches (50 cm).
• The collar will also have two smaller size holes - 18 inch (45 cm) and 19 inch (47.5 cm) and two bigger size holes - 21 inch (52.5 cm) and 22 inch (55 cm).
• The tip of the collar about 2 inch long (5 cm) will also be left after last hole.
• Some sizes of these handcrafted collars will differ a little but not considerable.
• When you get 2 ply or padded leather collars you should have in mind that they are 1 inch bigger. Then they will surely fit your Dog.

How should the collar be cleaned?

Preservation:
Leather conditioners should be applied with a soft cloth to not only help in the cleaning process, but to also provide good water repellent properties.

Cleaning:

• Continual contact with moisture (sweat, rain) can cause the leather to stiffen. Before you start cleaning the full surface of your leather item, test out the cleaner on a smaller, less visible area.  Wait a few minutes. If you don't notice any color distortion, proceed with the rest of the item.
• When cleaning your leather collar NEVER use strong detergents such as laundry detergent.  Always choose a product that helps preserve the leather's natural lubricating oils rather than strip them away. Most cleaning products sold in department and shoe stores are safe. But, it never hurts to ask.
• Warm soapy water, using baby shampoo or a similar soap, is the best cleaning solution for removing difficult or oily marks, stains or odors. Rub baby shampoo into the area of any oily stains before rinsing. Try to avoid cleaners that leave any sort of grease or residue. Residue can make leather vulnerable to bacteria, which will tarnish the leather and eventually break down the stitching. To remove the excess cleaner, use a slightly dampened cloth or a small brush around the stitching.
• Make sure soap/shampoo is rinsed out thoroughly to avoid stiffening.
